Help boyfriend lose weight? Please help! (airforce)?

Recently, my boyfriend has moved in with my family (Dad, three little brothers, and myself). My dad and brothers are not the healthiest of people, we as a family eat a lot of junk food and my dad and brothers eat that plus fast food 4 or 5 times a week (i need an answer other than ‘cut out fast food’ because thats a given!) lol Anyway, back to my boyfriend. He is a senior in high school and needs to cut down weight because his plan is to go into the airforce right after he graduates. A few months back he was saying how he needed to lose around 50 lbs by that time to be able to go to basic training. He has kept putting it off and putting it off and now here we are, almost November with not a lot to show for it. He goes running every now and then (he claimed he NEEDED an ipod or mp3 to be more motivated while he runs so he will go further… so we got him an ipod, there goes that excuse!) I feel like he looked a little slimmer at one point but im afriad he has gained it right back….

He is in shape, just needs to cut down pounds fast! Its not like he’s some fat kid that can’t run…

What i need to know is:
-How can i make him man up and get this done! (i know ‘i cant make him do it’ & ‘i cant do it for him”… need better answers)
-I’m cleaning out my family’s kitchen! No more swiss cake rolls! What kind of foods should i buy for him?
-I feel like i could help him better if there was a certain diet i was concentrating on. like rules i could follow and certain foods i can keep him away from and vertain foods i should make him eat.
-if you can give me a certain diet, i need meal ideas (easy, please!) that i can cook for him and my family.
-does anyone have a good daily schedule that works well for them? I drive him to school in the mornings and he needs to be showered and ready to leave by about 6:50. & 3 or 4 times a week he works in the after noon, about 3:45 to 9:00pm average…
-anyother diet tips, planning meal tips, schedule tips or ANYTHING else?

I know this is rather long and out of order and looks like chaos, but i am very upset right now and need to get this thing moving for not only his future, but also OUR future. He will be proposing sometime next month…. i dont want to marry someone if i feel like they cant ‘take care’ of me, pursay…

Is it possible for me to lose 20 pounds in 3 months? please read…?

Okay…so I’m a 16 yr. old girl weighing 140 pounds, 163cm (about 5 feet and 4 and a half inches) and I’m planning on losing 20 pounds before my two sisters come home from abroad. I’ve been thin when I was a kid and started to slowly gain these annoying 20 pounds when I was 13 yrs old. PLs don’t say that this weight is perfectly fine for my height cause it really isn’t coz I’m asian, and we have smaller frames than americans and europeans. Plus I want to live a healthy life that’s why I want to be back to my usual weight. I am currently playing DDR (Dance dance revolution) for like 2-3 hours a day. I drink 2 Liters of water and eat properly. I eat 2-3 fruits a day and eat only fish and lean meat. Sometimes I eat some sweet stuff so that I won’t crave and binge-eat. Do you think this will help me lose weight? If you could suggest more weight loss tips pls tell me so!! tnx for reading btw!

What can I do to lose weight fast after having children?

I just had my second child in June, he is 5 months old.. My first was born last yr in March so he is getting close to 2 years old, I need to find a way to lose weight after all that.. I understand there is like tissue or something now from my stomach stretching..

Before my 1st I weighed 120.. went up to 180.. then by the time he was 6 months I was 135..

Then I got pregnant again.. started at 135.. went up to 176.. Right after birth weighed 154 and stayed there for a while.. then I gained 5 lbs.. So I’m currently 159.. and the gain is not from the holidays :) It happened before that.. I walk regularly.. Like a mile or two at least with the kids in strollers..

Usually just going shopping or walking around the mall for a while each weekend kept my weight maintained.. or at least stopped me from gaining more! I really thought I had lost about 5 pounds but I gained that much.. It is kinda making me down on myself sometimes.. and I’m just not comfortable in my body.. and I hate that!! I don’t look very big, I’m 5’4, it’s just my stomach.. It’s kinda big like flabby wise.. I guess.. That sounds gross but it doesn’t look as bad as it sounds but I DO need to lose about 30 pounds at least!! I don’t think my weight is healthy for me nor do I like the way I look with it…

So any solutions to lose weight quickly?? Please don’t say “diet and exercise” blah blah.. If you know any diet pills that really work I’d be willing to try that as long as my doctor okays it. I can’t join a gym.. don’t got the time for that definitely! I’m just 20.. So I figured losing weight while being young shouldn’t be as hard as if I waited longer.. So just any tips are welcome and if you have meal plans that help.. Like give me a few ideas for suppers to eat.. For breakfast I always eat cheerios.. thats not bad right? & lunch I’ll eat a sandwich like a pb&j or some lunch meat on wheat bread so right there I know I’m not going totally unhealthy…
I thought I had lost a little weight because well, I just felt like I had.. Idk how to explain it but I felt like I had to have lost some.. my stomach seems just a little smaller for some reason but theres still a good bit of fat in that section.

And I don’t snack with the kids.. I think I eat pretty well.. I always eat baked foods over fried I don’t use salt unless it’s just in the food already.. Usual side dishes we eat are like mac and cheese and mashed potatoes or a baked potatoe and green beans and peas.. any of that should be omitted from my diet? I mostly eat red meat.. hardly ever eat white… dont know what that does for me and I don’t like a huge variety of fruit but I do eat alot of grapes…
Oh and when I said I don’t want anyone to just say diet and exercise.. I meant that literally.. Like if that’s your answer then explain.. what kinda diet… what kinda exercise..

Can an exercise bike help anything?? And keep in mind it’s mainly my mid section I wanna lose.. some off my arms and legs would be fine but not near as much off my mid section.

Trying to lose 20 more pounds?

Ok I started off 185lbs (well i didn’t start off there but that’s where i ended up after 2 kids). Started walking on an elliptical and then a treadmill and i’m down to 140. (took 6 months). I want to lose 20 more but i’m stuck. I’ve tried to alternate jogging and walking for 30 minutes almost every day (i some times may skip one day but not usually) but i’m just not losing any more. (my diet and other activity has remained stable). I try to eat chicken; salads; balanced meals; water or ice tea, will an occasional treat. Any trainers out there can give me some tips? (i’m 5’2″ and 47 years old and otherwise healthy). How can i kick start my weight loss again? I have access to some light free weights but i don’t use those (although sometimes while walking I carry little 2lb weights). We have a treadmill and an elliptical.

Trouble with maintaining weight (i do not want to lose weight, i want to gain)?

Ever since I was born I have had a really sensitive stomach. I can’t be too nervous or I can’t stomach food. It never used to be such a big deal until I hit adulthood and all that stress piled on. Add that on with five hour long classes that don’t really give us enough time to break for meals, hw and thus lack of sleep+stress and I’ve lost a lot of weight. I commute as well so that lengthens my days to eight hours without a proper full meal. I wish there were some other way to handle this, but as far as I know there isn’t so I’ve gone around not sleeping well, and not eating well at all. Usually I need to be relaxed and be at home or a nice restaurant with friends I’m comfortable with to eat.
I can’t even eat on dates cause I’d be too nervous and usually I have to force myself but its hell afterwards.
Does anybody have any tips as to how I can gain a little more weight or at least maintain it? i’m 5’2, female, and probably around 105 or 100 right now. I know thats a healthy weight for someone my size, but I’m a little sick of hearing “oh you’ve lost so much weight”. Not many people get that it can just be as mentally debilitating as hearing you’re fat, and I would know I was fat at one point in my life.It hurts just as much because in the end you’re told that you aren’t good enough. Anyhow, I was able to get fat cause I was a kid with a lot more relaxed lifestyle, sturdier stomach, and I would just eat drumsticks at 3 am. It doesn’t seem to work so well anymore that way.
But psychologicall damage aside, I would like to maintain my weight as well as for my own preferences. I don’t want to get any skinnier. But how would someone like me, with a sensitive stomach be able to do that? Sometimes all I want to eat are just certain types of foods and if I make myself eat say meat and I didn’t want to then that wouldn’t work out to well in the end.
Any genuine advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Also I’m lactose intolerant so I am not able to add dairy into my diet and eggs are generally a problem.

The best ways to lose weight without a program?

I am going into grade 11 and we started out football camp today. We weighed ourselves and I weighed in at around 255 pounds. I am a big person by nature and dont have that much of a gut but I am a very solid kid. I have big legs and butt and am a big kid in general. I would like to drop a few pounds by the end of this season though. Since I have practice everyday, I get alot of excersise and i figure why not try to lose weight. I think I have low metabolism as my weight seems to go up little by little. I dont eat a “healthy” diet, but I eat pretty well. I love fruits, vegetables and things like that. For a big guy I can move pretty well and I am athletic. Can any one give me tips on how to lose weight. Thanks :)

I want to lose 50 pounds?

I was a little chubby as a kid, but nothing too bad… when I was 14 I gained 30 lbs and was eventually diagnosed with hypothyroid meaning my thyroid didn’t produce enough hormones causing my metabolism to significantly work less.

Anyway, now I’m 18, 230 lbs and looking to lose between 40-60 lbs putting me around 170 or 180 which is a healthy weight for a someone 5’11′ according to my doctor.

I don’t want a fancy diet that’ll cost me money each month, just some tips on how to exercise (ie what cardio to do, etc), and some tips on how to eat (ie what to cut out, healthy snacks, etc).

If anyone has a link to a free site with info like that, please post it, otherwise just post me some info I can use, thanks everyone!

How can I lose 15 pounds in a month?

I’m 16 and weight 158 lbs. Last summer I lost around 7 pounds in a month by jump rope and Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I gained it all back though and now I wanna start up again starting July 1st… or 2nd since it’s Canada Day and there’s gonna be tempetation on the 1st ;)
My goal is to lose 15 pounds per month. So by September I want to have lost 30 pounds. I know that’s very high goal but my cousin did it and she was the same size as me before and she lost 30 pounds in 2 months. Also, my other just came back from Pakistan and he is SKINNY now he always used to be the fat, cute kid and now he’s ..normal and skinny and I’m inspired by him.

I just need some tips on how to lose 10-15 pounds in a month. By the way, I HATE running, but realize that it’s the best exercise, especially if you carry A LOT of belly fat (which I do) so I’m thinking that I’ll start that up even though I hate it so much and can’t even run for 2 straight minutes! haha.
Any more tips and ideas?

I’ll take up running (maybe). Should I continue jump rope? What should I do for weight training? What kinds of foods should I eat?

By the way, it’s REALLY hard for me to stick to a diet, so would it be okay for me to just eat whatever I want but exercise a lot? I’m not saying that I’m gonna eat JUNK all the time but I can’t stick to an actual diet plan. I’d rather just know what is good for me and try my best to eat healthier instead of going on a diet and then stopping and gaining all my weight back.
