Weight loss for a 14 year old?

I don’t know how long ago, but quite some time ago I became quite chubby. People I haven’t talked to in a few years remember me as “that chubby nerdy kid.” I’m 5’5″ (about) and weigh somewhere near 143 lbs. My weight is really distributed around my stomach, my thighs, and I have dreadfully acquired man boobs. I have tried for at least two years to try to lose weight. Many a time have I come up with an exercise routine and a good diet plan. Whenever I put these into action, I stay on them for around a week or two. Then I begin eating whatever I want again, and laze around all day long. I am asking right now because I realized this is serious. My mom as diabetes type 2 and my uncle went into the hospital today because of heart failure. The heart failure was caused by his weight. My brother is in similar shape and sheerly refuses to be compared to my uncle, saying he’ll be fine because “it hasn’t happened yet.” I’m worried for my health, my uncle’s health, and my brother’s health. I am not near their weights, or anywhere close, but still. Also, something that makes more sense to a guy my age, I have a new girlfriend who is a lot thinner than me… and I appeal to her emotionally and socially, but I doubt physically. If I ask, she says “don’t worry, I think you look nice” but I don’t care. I want to look and be healthier. After I have lost my flab, I also want to start building muscle. Lately I have been eating a lot less, though, for seemingly no reason at all. About a month ago, I was slightly over 150, but now I’ve dropped to 143.

Basically, how can I get into the habit of exercising regularly? I believe I’m getting into a good diet on my own accord, but any tips on that would help too.

And help me get off of Facebook!! Argh. My friend and my best friend’s sister both comment on how I’m on all the time, and that’s because I basically am, sadly. The only time I’m not is if I’m with friends.

Here the story
Shes 5’1 ft. and 104 pounds
SHe just wants to loose 5 or a little more pounds

She just wants to loose, jsut to look good in an bikini,
She nos she not over wieght
and deff not under weight
she just wants to get skinny
She wants to no some tips
Shes gonna have otmeal, or eggs for breakfast 4 weeks
Salad everyday just light ranch and lettuce
and healthy soup or grilled chicken or something healthy and protieny for dinner.
She plans to do this diet for 4-6 weeks as long as it takes to get skinny
She is gonna run about half a mile every saterday
she does ballet twice a week (1 hour each lesson ((so 2 hours)))
Jazz once a week (1 hour)
Pointe Class once a week (1 hour)

She wants to no, if her eating habbets would be good
any other thigns she could do
How long for an 11 year old to drop 5 -7 pounds

Potential For Weight Loss? Additional Advice?

Hi Everyone,

I’m making a consorted effort to finally lose some weight, and make necessary lifestyle changes to be healthier. I’m a 27 year old Male, 5’11″ tall and 264 pounds.

I’ve always had a “big” frame, so I carry the weight somewhat well, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’ve got a big belly, and a big appetite.

So here’s my question:

I’ve been using an elliptical trainer 4-5 days a week, 1/2 hour each session – I generally go 65-70 RPM and go anywhere from 2.25 miles to 2.75 miles.

I started taking Hydroxycut Advanced (Caffeine Free), A multi-vitamin, and daily 2.5mg of B-12.

My diet has been good. A lot of fruit, vegetables, wheats, grains, egg whites, tuna, seafood, chicken – Trying to do all the good stuff and let myself “cheat” maybe once a week to keep things on an even keel.

Eating 3-4-5 times daily and drinking ZERO sugar (spelnda in my one cup of coffee, otherwise it’s tea with no sugar, or water only).

For those out there that are either professionals, well versed, or have simply lost weight of their own: Am I on a good “plan” based on what I’ve outlined?

Does the potential exist for me to actually lose some weight here if I keep it up?

Thus far it’s 6 lbs in 2 weeks.

Exercise wise – Anything I should do differently? Add? Subtract?

Same with foods – Good suggestions, tips?

I really want to lose 50 lbs, and view food differently. I want to be healthier for my Kids and my Wife.

Advice on weight loss?

I have been trying to lose weight for a few months now and nothing has worked! I’m 20 yrs old, 5’8, and 172 lbs. I wouldn’t consider myself to be fat, but i’m definitely out of shape. I eat extremely healthy…fruit, whole wheat bread, yogurt, lean cuisine’s. No fast food! Only diet soda! Tons of water! I work out as much as I can. I’m a teacher, so running around after the kids makes up for the days I don’t exercise. I’ ve even tried several weight loss supplements, and nothing has worked. Can someone please give me some tips, or share your weight loss success story. I’m at the point of desperation.

What are some great tips for weight loss and toning up? ?

I am 22 years old. I have 2 great children. With whom I gained weight during pregnancy and never worked to take it off. I am now way past the point where I can call it baby fat!
I was doing great back in august. I was biking approx 5 days a week with my kids in the trailer. On my ‘off’ days I was keeping up with walking. I was eating well and choosing some vegetarian dishes.
This was all in the month my husband was away working. Once I moved to the new town with him it all went away. We fight quite a bit and it really brings me down. After he goes to work after we have a fight I just want to run to the kitchen and break out the chocolate, chips, ice cream, cheese…you name it.
Anyway we are slowly working on our problems. I also think I have hit ‘rock bottom’ with my weight. It make me sick what I have done to my body. I am ready to change and bring back the real me!!

So to kick things off I am starting with a simple cleanse. Eating lots of fresh fruits, veg, lean protein, healthy fats and whole grains/ I have cut out dairy, red meat and the typical “crap” during these 5 days.
I am going to keep up the same thing after…just add back the dairy. I think i may say goodbye to red meat for good.
As for activity I have just been walking. I am thinking of joining a gym this week. We only have one in town so ill be going to check it out tomorrow!

I am 5’8 and 165lbs

With all the challenges.. how do i succeed at weight loss?

I am a 34 year old mother of three. I weigh an outstanding 170 pounds which is the most i have ever weighed. I am only 5’5 and my doc says i need to get the weight down. Only problem is I had a hysterectomy a year ago and my thyroid was not working properly. I have been on medication for over a year.. both for hormones and thyroid. I don’t eat sweets and i don’t eat a lot of pastas or breads. I used to ride my bike 6 miles a day now with the cold weather and the kids i have no time… What are some things i can do at home to get my exercise and some diet tips to eat healthier. I need to get my weight down but with all the meds.. its been a challenge. If several small meals a day are good.. what are some suggestions.
I think i should mention i am NOT a pig. I work full time and run after my kids when i get home. I dont sit on my rear eating tubs of ice cream.. i have no time for that. So to the guy who thinks i am a pig.. Guess what.. I am not.
