Holiday Trimmings promotes weight loss
With Thanksgiving behind us, some of us can still see Thanksgiving on our behinds, but the Times Record News and the YMCA are teaming up to help out people who want to lose some of that holiday weight by participating in the Holiday Trimmings Weight Loss Challenge.

I’m trying to lose about 30 lbs before the end of May. I weigh 180 pounds right now and I am 5’9″ (I am a woman). I exercise every day, about 30 minutes on cardio and 15-30 on toning, and I’m about to start playing ultimate frisbee at least 2 times a week. I go to college, so it’s a struggle to eat healthy all the time, especially since I live in a dorm. How long do you think it will take me to lose 30 pounds? Do you have any tips for college kids?
I’m wanting to lose weight. I’m around 5’10 and around 250 lbs. I have a large frame, so the weight doesn’t look TERRIBLE on me, but I really want to lose it. I don’t care what I have to do to lose it, and I know that it will take a while. But if any one could actually make like a schedule for me showing me what exercises I need to do on what days, that would be wonderful. I’m wanting the fastest results(I know the fastest results can take a couple of years, also). I’d like a schedule with quite a bit of weight lifting in it because muscle burns calories, but I also want for the schedule to give me lean muscle. It would be amazing if some one could help me. I’m just so sick and tired of being the “chubby kid”. Also, if you could include some healthy eating tips & foods, I’d be REALLY grateful.
i have 2 kids and am overweight now. i have lost 15 pounds in about 3 months or so but i still have 25 more to go to be at my pre pregnancy weight. i love to eat so i am looking for some good snacks that quench hunger but ones i can eat a lot of. i have come to love watermelon and fat free jello. but i need more advice on how to make my goals come true i want to lose 10 pounds every 2 months wich isnt a lot for the time frame please if anyone has any great ideas on healthy eating tips please let me know i eat chicken and beef and pork for meats. i am in turkey so my sources are limited on things. thanks lisa
